One man's adventures in the physical and intellectual worlds…

So who is OpentoAdventure?

In 1976, numerous events occurred that either shaped the future of the World or had the potential to. Whether they were carefully planned or purely coincidental is a matter for specualtion and debate. One thing that is certain, however, is that the birth of Christian Emmett was almost completely intentional.

Christian is the kind of person who is still unsure about where his future lies. His life thus far has been lived with only a loose plan because he has learned that (at least in his case) making concrete plans is always a bad idea – but you can’t expect to get anywhere if you don’t at least aim for something.

He’s never considered himself a person with great knowledge, wisdom, intellect or ability. However, that has never stopped him from getting involved in anything before. He will continue with this approach until he finds exactly where he belongs and in the meantime he is always keen to learn more about life and people.

While he’s never been opinionated, Christian does thoroughly enjoy writing and is determined to make something of it. With currently no formal training, he only has the support of his peers to keep him motivated in addition to his own desire to one day be a successful and skilled writer. He’s not sure what form his writing will ultimately take, but he’s certainly going to do everything he can to see what happens when he applies himself.

This blog is a place where he writes about his varied adventures and experiences. Some of it will make perfect sense, with geographical references that can be used as guides. Other parts will enter the sometimes unfathomable depths of his mind; a place that is not necessarily scary but is definitely strange. The best thing you can do is smile and nod.

A few potentially interesting facts about Christian:

  • Favourite movie character – Indiana Jones;
  • Dislocated his left elbow when he was a young child and has never had it corrected;
  • Loves the cinema – He would see a movie every single day if he could afford it;
  • He is afraid of ghosts.

If you want to get in touch with Christian, he can be reached via the following means:

  • Email: christian[underscore]emmett[@]hotmail[dot]com

    I should’ve known you have such great taste in movies that Indy is at the top! One of my kidhood heroes. I’d love your expertise during my 12 Days of Christmas Movies poll to pick the best one ever. As always, I enjoy your site.

    Intriguing site … and I love your list of potentially interesting facts about you. I have a few on my “About” page, too!

    BTW, if you’re afraid of ghosts, you should TOTALLY watch that show called Ghost Adventures (not sure if they have it in Australia, but you need to check). I Tivo it just for a good laugh. It is about ghost hunters who are totally afraid of ghosts. It makes for funny moments! 🙂

      I’ll definitely see if Ghost Adventures is on any of our channels. Luckily though, if it comes down to it I can always find it on the internet.

      Thanks for visiting, it’s always nice to meet fellow bloggers. 🙂
